Paddles for the Water and Wood for Your Kitchen • Ryan Scott

Booth L74

I have been coming to the Oregon Country Fair since 1992, and became a juried crafter about 10 years ago. The fair is my happy place, where my son grew up, and where I have my yearly family vacation.

Trees have been in my life since learning that I share their breath. Working with wood nourishes my soul, knowing the wood’s story can continue to be heard through its repurposed use. Much of what I create are ‘one-of-a-kind’ pieces from ‘salvaged’ wood from landscape renovations, specialty finds from the natural world or scraps from the woodshop itself. I use peach and apple woods, cherry, black walnut, maples, birch and other specialty wood.

I make kayak and canoe paddles, spoons, spatulas, knives, cheese/sushi/charcuterie boards, mash paddles for making beer or compost teas. Thanks for looking and please contact me if you have questions, comments or orders. Custom orders available.
