Alfie’s eARThwork • Alfred Tait Duus

Booth 530

Alfie’s eARThwork is a small textile art and visual art studio, owned and operated by me, Alfred Tait Duus, out of my Tiny House in Eugene, Oregon. I studied studio art at the University of Richmond, VA with a concentration in painting. While traveling through Guatemala, I learned to weave on a Mayan style backstrap loom. You will find my work to be a distinguished blend of these two influences.

I create functional and visual art pieces from string. Woven accessories of all kinds for humans and pets alike: belts, pet collars and leashes, guitar straps, camera straps, yoga straps…anything strappy. I make one-of-a-kind bags, bookmarks, watch straps, bracelets, key fobs, and more.

I also weave colorful, intricately designed canvases that I then paint on. These are available as originals and prints on organic cotton knit. My distinct textile designs showcase my love of color and texture, while being influenced by a study of the studio arts and a deep connection to the Mayan culture of Guatemala.

Also, please find me on Facebook and Instagram at Alfie’s eARThwork, or on Etsy (www.AlfieseARThwork.Etsy.com).

Please enjoy…Peace and Joy!
